For decades, you’ve heard the music in your head... but it's never sounded the way you imagined it.
Maybe:
- You struggle to finish songs
- Your mixes don't stand up to your favorite records
- Your workflow feels scattered
- Tutorials help, but not enough
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone and it isn't your fault.
Most people learn in fragments, not in a guided creative session.
This experience changes that.
And you don’t even have to leave home.
By the end of our time together, you'll have:
- A fully produced, mixed, and mastered song ready for release
- A home studio that actually serves your creative process
- A creative workflow you can rely on
- The ability to trust your decisions without second guessing
- Skills that last a lifetime
The Experience
Before I arrive:
We’ll start with a private prep call to talk through your music, your space, and your goals. I'll craft a custom process for your needs ahead of time and give you a simple pre-work plan so that when I walk into your studio, we are focused on creating, not troubleshooting.
Over three days in your home studio:
Day 1 — Tune Your Space & Your Setup
We'll optimize your studio so it actually supports the way you work. You'll understand why things are set up the way they are, so you're not second guessing yourself or your gear.
Day 2 — Record & Produce Your Song
We'll take the song that's been living in your head and turn it in to something real. From recording to production choices, we'll build the track together while focusing on feel, clarity, and creative momentum
Day 3 — Mix, Master & Deliver
We'll mix and master the song so it's polished, balanced, and ready to share. More importantly, you'll understand the decisions behind the mix, so you can carry that confidence into future songs.
After I leave:
The work doesn't stop when I fly home.
We'll have two private follow-up Zoom calls over the next month to answer questions, refine your workflow, and help you apply what you learned to your next projects. You won't be left wondering what to do next, you'll have a clear path forward.
Why does in-studio matter?
Most musicians and producers try to improve by watching more videos, buying more plugins, or jumping on one-hour calls.
And, hey, I love those things too. But this experience is built different.
- I come to you. No travel, no unfamiliar rooms or laggy zoom calls. We work in the space where you actually make music
- We do the work together. You’re not just watching me work on your song, you’re a part of every decision.
- It's hands on, not theoretical. Everything we do is immediately applied to your music, your setup, and your workflow
- Real progress. You'll finish with more than just ideas or notes. You'll have a finished professional song, and a process you can repeat.
This is about shortening the gap between where you are now and the music you know you are capable of making.
Who will you be working with?
I'm Chris Sangster, a producer, mixer, and educator who's spent years helping home studio musicians turn ideas into finished records.
Through Sangster Sounds, I've worked with artists at every stage. From beginners finding their footing, to experienced producers looking to refine their workflow and signature sound. My approach is practical, collaborative, and above all focused on making the best music possible.
I care deeply about helping people finish music they're proud of, and I bring that mindset into every in-studio experience.
What is it like to work together?
“Working with Chris was one of the most positive and productive creative experiences I’ve had. He guided my preparation ahead of time, helped me make better decisions in the studio, and always suggested ideas without ever pushing them. I left with a song that far exceeded my expectations — and a much clearer understanding of my own process.”
-Tim Press
“Chris gave clear, specific feedback instead of vague comments. He helped me understand what wasn’t working and how to fix it always honestly and without ego. I felt supported the entire time and left knowing exactly how to improve my music.”
-Jim Nickel
